I Have a New Job, Blog Post Thumbnail

So I finally have a job!

Now my (pound wise) journey can truly begin. Because now I have money coming in, I can now allocate this money towards my various savings goals.

No matter what your goals are in life, you need a financial vehicle in order to make that viable.

Whether it’s to start a business, go travelling, get married, buy a sports car, or anything else. It’s going to be very difficult to achieve these goals without any kind of income coming in.

So now I have a job, AKA a financial vehicle to begin working on achieving my goals!

Why is having an income important?

To be honest, it wouldn’t have mattered if I’d gotten a job cleaning toilets or flipping burgers at McDonalds, everyone has got to start somewhere!

There’s nothing wrong with having a low-skilled, minimum wage, dead-end job, as long as you are able to pay the bills, and have money leftover to enjoy your life outside of work.

And I plan on enjoying my life outside of work! Many people make their jobs/careers their entire lives and I have no interest in doing that, why devote my entire life to a company that would replace me instantly if something happened to me?

Not that I’m lecturing anyone that does think that way, just my personal preference.

Anyway, what is my new job?

The job came out of nowhere really, but it was great timing, only a week or so after starting this blog.

My new job is working in a pyrotechnics factory, making the flares that people use when they get lost on mountains or ships. I quite like it because the things we make essentially save lives.

My job is only packing these flares into boxes, correctly labelling the boxes and palletising them for storage or shipment. You could train a monkey to do it.

But it’s an easy job, the money isn’t too bad and most importantly, I can use this income to build towards achieving my financial goals!
